Under the stewardship of Abdalla, whose deep passion for traditional Lamu architecture shaped the company’s values, Kuresh Construction has grown from humble beginnings into a respected name in coastal and heritage-inspired construction.

Before its formal registration, Kuresh Construction operated as an informal but highly regarded local building outfit, primarily serving private clients across the Kenyan coast. The business was known for its exceptional work in traditional Swahili homes, coral stone buildings, carved timber features, and intricate plasterwork—all hallmarks of Lamu’s storied architectural language. Abdalla, having learned the craft from master builders and elders in the region, carried forward both the technical expertise and cultural reverence that define this architectural tradition.
